Tenzin Wangdu is a Tibetan boy, now living in India, who is one of Sue Ellen's pen pals.
Biography[]
When Tenzin is first mentioned in “Sue Ellen's Little Sister”, he is living in Tibet. The Armstrongs help him to go to school, probably as part of a charitable education program. Tenzin becomes Sue Ellen's pen pal and later e-mail pal. Sue Ellen shows her friends a photo of a small boy in a Tibetan village and thinks of him as her little brother.
When Tenzin next appears in “So Funny I Forgot to Laugh”, his family has moved to Dharamsala, India. Tenzin sends Sue Ellen a sweater made of yak wool that his mother made.
In “Wish You Were Here”, Tenzin's father goes to Crown City on a business trip, suggesting that the family's fortunes have greatly improved. He takes Tenzin with him, who uses the opportunity to visit Sue Ellen in Elwood City. It is revealed, that Sue Ellen's picture of him is old and they are actually about the same age and height.
Tenzin's visit does not go quite as Sue Ellen had planned, because Sue Ellen had ignored that Tenzin has developed different interests than her. After first taking him to a karate class and a Tibetan concert, Sue Ellen tries to make up to him by getting Muffy to take him to Capri di Vapida's fashion show. However, Tenzin would rather spend time with Sue Ellen, so they play baseball together with Sue Ellen's friends.
Personality[]
Tenzin is very friendly and polite. He loves baseball, fashion shows (especially Capri di Vapida), sports cars, and zombie movies. He also to likes to take pictures with his smartphone. He used to take karate lessons, but dropped out because he was not good at it. He speaks excellent English with some verbal quirks like "very sorry" and "very awesome".
Physical appearance[]
Tenzin first appeared as a dark brown bear in the episode "Sue Ellen's Little Sister", but in "So Funny I Forgot to Laugh", he was white with black spots on his eyes (resembling a Panda).
Tenzin is currently slightly taller than Sue Ellen. In "Wish You Were Here", he wears a crimson hoodie, khaki jeans, a yellow undershirt, and blue-green shoes.
During karate class, he wears a karate gi with a yellow belt lent to him by Sue Ellen.

Trivia[]
- Tenzin is depicted as a panda, a symbol of China. The native habitat of the panda is the lowlands of south central China, rather than the high altitudes of Tibet where Tenzin comes from.[1]
- His jacket and shirt resemble Cameron from the Total Drama series.
